BIOGRAPHY
Born in Emerson, Arkansas in 1943. Moved to Beaumont, TX in 1951
Started first band at age 13. He played popular music of that era at
local school functions and at parties.
Later, he played lead guitar for the world famous Barbara Lynn. After
honorably discharging from US Navy in 1966 he played around the El Paso,
TX area,
Later moved to Houston and gigged here and there. He has played with
quite a few of the great blues men and women including a short stage
presence with BB King.
He has two CDs currently doing well overseas. One is titled Down In The
Bottoms and the other is Expressions of A Blues Man. Both were recorded in
the Great-Recordings studios in Port Arthur, TX. In 2001 his brother Long
John Hunter and him recorded the classic CD titled One Foot In Texas
featuring Stevie Ray Vaughn rhythm section Double Trouble in Austin,
Tx.
He now lives in Austin and plays locally. He has toured Europe more than
once and in August of 2011 h
He toured Brazil. He has played the Blues Estafette in Utrecht,
Holland.
