BIOGRAPHY
David "Honeyboy" Edwards (June 28, 1915 – August 29, 2011) was a Delta blues
guitarist and singer from the American South.
Edwards was born in Shaw, Mississippi. Edwards was 14 years old when he
left home to travel with blues man Big Joe Williams, beginning life as an
itinerant musician which he led throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
He performed with famed blues musician Robert Johnson with whom he developed a close friendship. Honeyboy was present on the night Johnson drank poisoned whiskey which killed him, and his story has become the definitive version of Johnson's demise.
As well as Johnson, Edwards knew and played with many of the leading bluesmen in the Mississippi Delta, which included Charley Patton, Tommy Johnson, and Johnny Shines....

REVIEW
Lightning In A Bottle: a film produced by Martin Scorcese and directed
by Antoine Fuquoa features an astonishing array of blues artists from
three generations. Recorded during one long night at NYC's Radio City
Music Hall on Feb. 7, 2003, the electricity is in the air and on stage.
While it may not have been the finest blues show in history, the
collection of founding fathers such as David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Buddy
Guy, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Larry Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Solomon
Burke, and the ubiquitous B.B. King along with their spiritual offspring
(Gregg Allman, John Fogerty, and Steven Tyler) and some usual suspects
like Bonnie Raitt, Robert Cray, and Keb' Mo', makes it arguably the most
significant blues session ever captured on film.

'Honeyboy' is a great film - and hard to find on DVD these days - but the sound and images are slightly out of sync, which is a real shame. Is there any chance of correcting this and uploading it again, Chris? Many thanks, once again, for thanks of all the great posts. You are really keeping the Blues alive.
Hi localpriest,
NMR so I'm DLing the DVD to rip it from my own with, of course, a better behaviour !
As you can see I make a lot of things at the same time so please, be patient ! Sorry for this lame video !
All the Best
Chris-France
